Get Publicity Now On Radio, TV, Internt And Print

Filed under: Publishing — Annie Jennings @ 6:41 am
by Annie Jennings

If you own a business or have written a book, you’ll want to get out into the world and tell someone about your work and yourself. A great way is to land media placements on radio, TV, in magazines and newspapers and on the internet. But the first question is, how do you get booked on these media outlets, is it as easy as it looks? It can be if you know the publicity tips that get you in the door. You don’t have to be a publicist to land impressive media placements and get exposure for yourself, your book or your business

First things first, before you begin to contact the media, create your press release and publicity tools. Have them ready as the media will ask you to send your materials right away if they have an interest in you. You will need a press release that outlines the information you will share for radio and TV, a media kits and a demo video especially for national TV. Be ready to send the info right away because if you delay, you will lose the advantage of having the interest of the media. Always present a professional image to the media and that means being prepared before you begin so you do not delay when the media wants to go to the next step.

Have short and long term publicity goals. You will need to have resources to find the names of the producers and bookers and contact information. Targeting the right media contact will greatly increase your chances of getting booked. If your goal is to be on OPRAH within the year, you have a lot of work to do. You’ll want to get booked on lots of media that includes radio and TV to gain experience, help you define your topic and create national expert status for yourself. Pitch the smaller radio shows first and then move onto the bigger stations in the bigger markets. Use the same strategy with TV and book yourself first on the local/regional stations.

If newspapers and magazines are on your publicity goal list, start to follow these periodicals. Learn about the content and style and who writes in your expertise. Become familiar with what they have covered so you are pitching a fresh and “next level” article or story idea. When promoting your book or yourself, expect to make about 50 pitch calls before feeling comfortable with the content, style, language and tonality.

Can the media spot an amateur? You bet! Your pitch call is an audition. If you sound shy, uncertain and stumble over your words, the producer will think you will be shy, uncertain and stumble over your words on the air and will not book you. Your successful book promotion strategy or successfully creating expert status for yourself depends upon your development of strong presentation and communication skills and a certainty within yourself that you would make a great guest. If you doubt that you are ready for media your concerns will show in your presentation style and the media can sense this. Preparation, practice and media training can help you tremendously.

Printing Services Evolution Over The Years

Filed under: Publishing — Gary Smith @ 8:48 am
by Ryan Smith

The popularity of print medium as a potent means of spreading information to individuals of all kinds is immense even in the present era. The present form of the printing services industry is an outcome of years of change and evolution in printing modes and processes. Today it can fulfil almost any need of the clients associated with printing and its supplementary requirements.

With the invention of the world’s first printing press by Gutenberg in the–00’s, bulk printing services in the form of relief printing evolved into a full fledged industrial service. In this style of printing the printed image appears elevated from the background of the material, as it is in a rubber stamp. This type of printing has however become a rarity nowadays, though not completely dead.

Printing methods have transformed greatly down the years, and these changes have been driven by upcoming of newer technologies. There are many kinds of printing methods available today and each has its own use. In fact, most clients now feel puzzled with the printing options available in the industry.

Offset printing is a popular printing technique preferred by most printers nowadays. In this technique, the image is transmitted onto paper from a metal plate on which the image is first printed by the use of small amount of ink. This method is best for bulk printing, as it is both faster and cheaper than other techniques in the market.

Other well known forms of printing that have evolved over time are electrostatic printing, which can be compared to photocopying, and thermal printing, which creates the print impression by heating coated thermal paper in select areas.

However, digital printing is the latest printing method that is getting a lot of attention. As the name suggests it makes use of a computer to create an image, which is then analysed and if found to be faultless, printed onto paper. This method is flawless and quick, but it is appropriate only for a limited number of prints. As the printer can modify each print in this method, it can be used for computer form printing, where documents such as receipts or invoices can be printed for different customers, with each having an identical format but different contents.

The advent of the internet in printing has been another revolutionary transformation for the industry. There are a lot of companies in the market now, who allow you to place orders and modify prints directly through their websites, which is providing excellent convenience to the customers.

Technological innovations have always brought about significant positive changes in printing techniques and the quality of the prints. The great news is that this trend of change is going to continue in the future as well, bringing favourable advancements to enhance performance and lower costs.

Google search engine ranking factors are among the most important items to check in any SEO work. This will ensure that the strategies formulated are effective, current and optimal for the best search engine ranking results. Every search engine optimization analysis examines the website’s performance against these important ranking factors.

The conversion rate is the most important web metric in a commercial website. Conversions lead to sales, and sales leads to profits; this is why a good conversion rate is essential for long term business success. Yet this important web metric is often the hardest to figure out. SEO companies often ignore it, and leave it to the website owner to determine. This is not good, because SEO should not only be about increasing traffic from rankings; instead, a good SEO should also pay attention to the conversion rate.

Quick Ways to Make Money – Keyword Sniping

Filed under: Article Marketing — David Hirsch @ 7:40 am
by David Hirsch

The cheapest, fastest and most efficient way to make money at home online and achieve SEO optimization is through “Keyword Targeting”. This technique – sometimes also called “Keyword Sniping” – is misunderstood.

The idea behind keyword sniping is to look for keyword phrases of three or more words which are relevant to the product being sold. These phrases are known as “long tail keywords”.

Yet many people also misunderstand how the term “long tail keywords” got its name. The name didn’t come from the fact that the phrases are long. It comes from a graph of search volume against phrase popularity.

Picture a simple graph. On the verticle scale is “search volume” from low to high. On the horizontal scale is “phrase popularity” from high to low. The most basic and popular keyword phrases of one and two words would have very high popularity and very high search volume (and VERY HIGH competition). The longer, narrower keyword phrases, on the other hand, would have much lower popularity and search volume (and also much lower competition).

For example, the phrase “weight loss” is extremely broad and popular. But with 347 million competitors, it would be impossible to rank on the first page of Google. If you lengthen the phrase, though, the competition goes down dramatically. For example, the phrase “weight loss after pregnancy” has 43,600 competitors as of this date, while the phrase “weight loss programs after pregnancy” has only 8 competitors.

If you recall the graph we talked about earlier, you would see a “suicide ski jump” type curve. It would start at the top left with the broad one or two word phrases and continue steeply downward as we go through the longer, narrower, more specific keyword phrases.

It’s the position of these narrow, specific phrases on the “long tail” of our imaginary graph that gives them their name. They are essential to making money quick on the Internet, because they are very numerous, and they each have very small competition.

Of course, they each have far less search volume. But taken together, you can accumulate fairly decent search volume if you have enough of them together in your article marketing campaign. More importantly, you stand a fair chance of ranking on the first page of Google with some of them because the competition is so low.

Does any of this really work in practice? This is where many people misunderstand how to properly target keywords. Experience plays a role, but so do instinct and intuition.

Just looking at the competition versus monthly search volume isn’t enough. The truth is that unless you rank on the fist page of Google for your long tail keyword phrase (preferably “above the fold”) you are not going to get ANY traffic. In order to do that, you have to study the nature of the top ten competitors for each long tail phrase you are targeting. If each one has a Google page rank (PR) of 4 or better, and each one has numerous backlinks from credible sites, you are going to have problems.

Those who are experienced in “keyword targeting” are able to do this. They can pick out the phrases that have a good balance of competition versus search volume, yet can compete for a slot in the top ten.

How do they do this? In a future article, I’ll explain the parameters and tools they use.

How to Write a great Paragraph for Your Story.

Filed under: Writing — Jude Layton @ 6:36 am
by Ryder Morgan

Generally it is well-known that’s introductions involve writing a short passage on the subject. The important point about writing a good introduction is to make it catchy to the reader. In order to do this it must capture the essence of the story and bring out this essence through an example. This is important as otherwise you won’t be capturing the real essence of the story and people will read only just a few lines.

The important point about writing an intro is that it must be short. When you write a headline and then put content below it, your reader will expect the headline to correspond to the story below. Readers really won’t give much time to an intro which talks about sports, when the headline talks about vacations.

Even if the intro, at its end, would have captured the essence of what the author was trying to say. Ask yourself; is it short enough that a reader won’t lose patience before the writing returns to the topic at hand?

The piece above contains an intro that’s quite short. This kind of intro has the potential to work very well as long as the reader knows what they are reading. Readers know what the article is going to tell them in broad terms and so they know what to look-out for within the story.

In short, if you give an introduction that is really long, but which has not connection to the headline, you could be putting down your story like nothing else and this really spoils a good story.

In case you use big anecdote, you must let your reader be aware of how it is connected to your subject, otherwise you will find that readers will opt out of reading your topic, even before you bring out your point.

In short, what is necessary is using less words in bring out a perfect story essence. The aim of an introduction is to out forth your subject in a broader and more general sense.

Think about your intro as a whole and consider which details help do this and which do not. Extra details like dates, names, descriptions and diversions, if not necessary to the essence of the anecdote, serve only to distract the reader.

For more details and my inspiration for this article you can visit my site mentioned in the Author field.

In order to gain reader attention, you have to write out a good introductory passage by giving it that much thought and consideration. It is how you present the introduction that leads the rest of the story for the reader. So, think about our intro carefully and only put into it those details which help to do this and leave out those that don’t.
