Private Placement Memorandum authoring and the process of taking one’s company public are services that require extensive experience and the ability to look at a deal objectively and peripherally to evaluate all the angles to enhance the ability of the client to achieve funding in a timely manner.

Many times, when I’m hired to structure a company before funding, they will be under the impression that my evaluation is a mere formality and they are ready to go. This mentality dominates the larger firms because of their gargantuan overhead while the boutique firms can take a more personal approach because they have a steady flow of business and referrals because they are not stressed about bringing in the next big deal so they can meet payroll and keep their lights on. The smaller companies that focus on turnaround consulting, private placement memorandum authoring, top tier business plan writing and taking companies public usually take a one on one approach to the consulting process and will rarely pressure clients to sign on because their phone is ringing off the hook with previous clients who want to hire them for the next stage in the evolution of their company’s growth.

This business is all about relationships. Ditch the consultant that applies the high pressure sales tactics and seek out the smaller, more personalized groups that don’t ‘need’ your business but will cultivate and value it.

Are You Suffering From Writers Block?

Writers block, it’s something that any author will have. No matter what they have to write, it will attack them at one point or another while working. It’s that point when you sit staring at the paper, nothing coming out. Or that you are sitting at the computer, hands on keyboard, but words just won’t get there.

Almost as if your brain isn’t communicating with your body somehow. Writing isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world, and when that block comes up. Well you might as forget about it for a while. All the good author’s have had problems with it before, and they will again.

Many people will tell you that each day you need to write down something. Spend at least fifteen minutes where you sit and write it won’t need to make sense. But as long as you do this, writing should always come to you when it’s needed.

Sit outside and look around, make up a story about a situation or a car that you see. These are all ways that you may be able to jump start the muse in you. But if you begin to get too frustrated and can’t think of a thing, walk away.

Do something different, head out and see a movie, or walk around the mall. Anything that will give you new things to look at and do. Perhaps something you see will be just the trigger that is needed. That certain thing that will get your mind back in line, and your words flowing free again.

Many writers will have this happen through the years they write. There is nothing wrong with you, and nothing that a doctor will be able to help out with. Instead it is going to be all you who will either find the muse again, or sit around with nothing to do.

Surely you won’t have it for the rest of your life. Once it’s gone get back up and do it all again!
