Yes, You Do Need Baby Shower Invitations

Filed under: Writing — Stevie Nichols @ 8:20 am
by Stevie Nichols

Throwing a baby shower for a friend or loved one is a huge gesture of love. While you are doing the party preparations you may be wondering if you need formal baby shower invitations or if an e-vite or phone call is enough. The right thing to do is send invitations. As with any other event an invitation is the way to go and a baby shower is no exception. Baby shower invitations are a delightful surprise in the mail and they give guests the information they need.

Baby shower invitations show that you really care about your guests attending your event. They physically show your guests that you invested time and money into inviting them to the baby shower. A phone call or email does not show this same time and attention.

Another great reason to send out baby shower invitations; your guests will have a beautiful keepsake from the shower. There will probably be other shower favors handed out, but none of them will fit so well in photo albums and scrapbooks. Baby shower invitations are even pretty enough for mom and grandma to frame.

If the baby shower is not a surprise, you will want to include the mother-to-be in the process of choosing the invitations. She will only have one baby shower for this baby and the invitations need to reflect her personal taste and style.

A mom-to-be who loves modern design probably will not like frilly, fancy invitations. The same goes for a mom-to-be who loves pink, girly things. She will not like bold, stark modern invitations. Flowers and lace are what will make her happy. This is why letting the expectant mom help pick out the invitations for her shower is a good idea. Even if she does not want to be included in selecting the invitations, or if the shower is a surprise, pick invitations that reflect her style.

Baby shower invitations are the polite and classy way to invite guests to a baby shower. Phone calls and emails are fine for a casual dinner party, but they just do not cut it when it comes to an important life event like a baby shower. While you are choosing your baby shower invitations, make sure you keep thank you cards in mind too. They are another important gesture that is being lost to the digital age.

6 Wedding Speech Etiquette

Filed under: Writing — john roberts @ 7:19 am
by Adeline K. Mcinerny

According to tradition, there are only three wedding speeches. Because of the traditions that have evolved along with these speeches, each of them has wedding speech etiquette which are best observed.

Vulgarity – Improper language are oftentimes used by speakers at weddings to emphasize some sections of their. While this may seem like the norm at wedding parties, many of the listeners have a taste for foul words-free speeches. If you, as the speaker, need to use profane language in your speech, it is advisable that you use much gentler words instead. Your audience is diverse – composing of children, adults and very old people – and majority of them may not find profanity humorous.

Unhappy topics – The wedding is an occasion for celebration, thus any reference to sore topics must be avoided. Unless there is a pressing need to mention a very recent death, try to avoid mentioning the topic. Talking about a tragedy on a happy occasion will instantly kill the mood of the audience. In the same manner, don’t mention anything about unhappy marriage, divorced couples or annulled couples – no one really wants to hear about these things on a happy occasion.

On gums and alcoholic drinks – Even if you are not a speaker at a wedding, it is still improper to chew gums. It is an entirely different story though if you are chewing something while on the podium as part of your speech. The same holds true with alcohol. Because of their feeling of anxiety, some wedding speakers help themselves with a sip of alcohol. Although this may work for the best man, the groom or the bride’s father before they stand on the podium, it is still not right to slur through the speech.

Epic-like speeches – Delivering long speeches is never a good idea. Even if you have the necessary skills to pull off a very entertaining speech, your audience may lack the patience to sit down for an hour or more, listening to another person’s stories. So as much as you can, keep your speech short. The ideal length is 5 minutes. Pack your messages into one concise and coherent speech and make it a point to drive your point without taking too many segues.

On talking about stories about your own relationship – For the best man and the maid of honor and bridesmaids, it is tempting to mention a few lines about their own relationships. Although some people accept this, talking about personal relationship breaches the etiquette of wedding speeches.

Jokes that are not in good taste – It is perfectly fine to talk about funny experiences which really happened to either the bride or the groom or crack jokes about marriage.

However, there are particular jokes that cross the line of wedding speech etiquette. These are jokes that connote sexual, racial, and ethnic references. Cracking jokes that refer to these themes, no matter how funny they are, is a big no-no at wedding receptions.

Using AdWords Advertising

Filed under: Writing — Tom Martens @ 6:08 am
by Justin Harrison

AdWords advertising campaigns are built around short, carefully worded advertisements. Although they may be limited in size advertising of this type can be very successful in attracting the attention of potential customers who will follow the adverts through to your website.

Two methods exist and they depend on where you are going to place your advertisement. During the set up process of the AdWords campaign you will be given a couple of options and you can decide to place your ad on the search or content network (Adsense) or you can place it on both networks.

Search network advertisements are assigned many keywords that would match the text of the advertisement and that is an excellent method for getting searches to locate your product or service.

Within the content network, as opposed to the other, your ad will be surrounded by an article or other content which is related. So in this scenario, your ad is viewed by readers who are maybe not thinking about purchasing at the moment, so, they are only browsing and not searching.

Because of this, contextual advertisements normally do not have the same impact as search advertisements. If your desire is to target both markets you want to create two separate marketing campaigns as this will allow you to expand your target area and inevitably increase traffic to your site.

Contextual adverts have their advantages despite the fact that they may not give as many advantages as a search based advert. Your cost per hit is a lot lower and you’ll have a little more flexibility in where your adverts land.

If you have an AdWords search advert created but yet want to try the content network you could consider starting up a different advertisement series pointed at the content market. Content networks have a more passive audience so simply just copying over your search network campaign will not suffice, you’ll need to complete retool it to make it work.

In the final analysis a well run search network campaign is usually the most effective way to generate business but with a little ingenuity and well written copy there is no reason why this could not be supported by a parallel campaign on the content network.

Why Respect The MCs Who Came Before You !

by L.J. James

I want to address a question I have gotten a lot recently. (I am sure it has a lot to do with the hit show Sons of Anarchy) It is from people who want to start new Motorcycle Clubs. They want to know if they should go to the predominate MCs in their area to talk about starting a new MC first. Many have said to me they do not understand the reason why they should go talk to them! Some have even gone as far as to say that if they have to go to the predominate MC in their area and ask permission that just proves that MC is a Criminal Gang! Not sure how they came to that conclusion but they are some very strong words sent over the computer.

I want everyone to remember I am writing this info as a guideline to those who are looking to get into the MC world and individual results may vary. This maybe some new fad to you but to true Motorcycle Club Members this world is everything!

For my answer to this Question I am going to put aside any statements of having to ask permission of the MCs in your area first. I am going to instead ask why would you not speak to the MCs in your area and get their Blessing first before starting a new Motorcycle Club. Many say it’s because they are going to start a different type of Motorcycle Club. They may even be calling themselves something different like a Riding Club or a Motorcycle Association. Are your Members going to ride Motorcycles and have patches on their vests? If the answer is yes, Then again why not go speak to those who have come before you and paved the roads you now wish to ride down!

For many I know the reason they don’t want to ask is simple fear! Fear of what they do not know or what they think they do know. If it is fear, then it is because you do not know the real Motorcycle Club world! Now every Motorcycle Club in the world is different. But most Motorcycle Clubs don’t mind helping to get a new MC started and teach them what it really means to be in a Motorcycle Club, I can guarantee you it is something you will not learn on TV no matter how many episodes you may watch!

Now if you have decided that what you really want is to start up a new Motorcycle Club, One thing I want to make sure you know is something every Father should have taught his Son as a Child and that is “Do not lie and Always do what you say you are going to do” One fact I will also give you is the MC world is all about Respect! If you just start up a new MC without talking to the other clubs in your area that will most likely be seen as disrespectful!

Let’s think about some other reasons you would want to talk to the MCs in your area first. You are going to want to make sure your new Patch or MC name is not similar to another Motorcycle Club. Many MCs have worked hard over the years to create a name and image for themselves. They will not like the idea of you either using a name close to theirs or wearing a patch that looks like theirs. The reason being is a simple one, They do not want you being mistaken for them doing anything that would make them look bad. You also could be seen as trying to ride on their coat tails by using the reputation they have worked hard for. You may not understand it now but the MC world is a Brotherhood and if you are fortunate enough to be welcomed into it, You will understand after years of working hard creating a name for your MC. The bottom line is meeting with the MCs in your area and talking with them before starting a new MC is the right thing to do!

Another fear many have is they wrongly believe they will be forced to do things for these other MC’s. The only thing most Clubs may ask of you is to come to a few of their events each year have fun and again to show Respect!!!

Now I have heard complaints from many that there are areas where the MCs have decided they do not want any more new MCs! Well all I can do is guess why that might be! The reason I would think that Motorcycle Clubs would say no more Clubs in an area is that there are already a lot of different MCs in that area and they all get along real well. These MCs would not want anything new coming in and messing up the harmony they have created.

Now like I said before the reason most say they want to start a new MC is because they want to start something different then what is in that area. Well often that is not the truth. The real reason People usually want to start a new MC is because they do not want to have to Prospect! If the only reason you want to start a new MC is because you are not willing to prospect, My best advice to you is to stay an independent rider because you will not last long in the Motorcycle Club world anyway!

Easily Find And Secure: Angel Investors, Private Investors, Institutional Investors And More! Raising capital for a start-up, corporation in expansion mode or a company in virtually any position presents it’s challenges and roadblocks. There has been no period in recent history that can simulate the difficulties that current entrepreneurs and executives are having when trying to achieve the procurement of venture capital. The standards have become more stringent and the cross-collateralization of personal and corporate assets as security for loans has virtually become a mandatory prerequisite for any type of funding, equity or loan based.

When initiating the process of raising capital one should take into consideration the use of a combination of funding options such as but not limited to: traditional venture capital, bank institutional, institutional equity investment, hedge fund lenders, private money lending, angel equity and loan investment, a private placement memorandum as the mechanism for raising capital distributed in shares, international equity based funding, the reality of taking your small business public on the OTCBB and many other concepts of capital raising that can be placed into a simultaneous strategy.

It’s a common mistake among entrepreneurs and executives to place all of their attention and time into one singular aspect of the above funding concepts. Instead, you should pick a multi pronged approach and go after multiple genres of financing for your business. Some avenues will yield success, some will not but you are more likely to achieve incremental funding successes as oppose to one gargantuan, be all and end all finance victory.

To achieve funding you’ll need to be able to contact multiple finance sources to start the ball rolling. Find online membership database sites that are owned and operated by professionals in the venture capital industry.

There is a big difference between a generalized database of possible lenders and a strategic database of success driven finance solutions. Find the most cutting edge, full range database on the web and join them.

Has The Email Marketing Strategy Used Today Been Taken From The Direct Mail Marketing Concept

Filed under: Article Marketing — Ron Cripps @ 9:54 am
by Ron Cripps

Email marketing was possibly the fastest growing type of marketing on the world wide web during its earliest days. It was affordable, convenient and even novel. The strategies incorporated in the early days of this form of marketing weren’t new, of course. Even now at present, the identical major marketing principals apply.

If you were to think about it you would discover that email marketing is a lot similar to direct mail marketing and in loads of techniques it’s akin to the marketing strategies used in newspapers and magazines. In that approach the fundamental concepts haven’t changed a large amount ever since the initial days of modern promotion, over hundred years in the past.

The idea is basically where you will be getting a person’s interest employing a grabbing picture or else a snappy heading. When they have been drawn in the finer fine points of the advertisement are exposed to them. For example, you have without doubt had an experience (or a few hundred experiences) in which you were looking through a newspaper or magazine and were distracted by a huge “FREE.” That’s awkward to resist. Whatever is being promoted, there’s little doubt the meaning got passed to you as you would have wanted to know what exactly is free and where the hook was.

Email promotion does just that. A snappy subject line gets the recipients to look at the message and then the contents of the email should follow all the way through on a sales pitch. As electronic mail applications advance into better apps and the internet expanded more rapidly, the email message bodies of these emails became filled of graphics plus now they often resemble their glossy magazine equivalents. The difference is they can comprise unlimited amounts of information.

A online business wanting to implement an electronic mail marketing campaign can do so through varying yet similar strategies. It all depends on the commerce and what precisely they require to get across to their clientele. Whatever the message is though, there is a question of where the email content is going to come from.

The email marketing campaign starts with just that. Email information is collected. Online businesses obtain this from their existing client databases or from sign-up sheets which may be posted on their websites. A widespread system these days is to ask every customer for their email details after selling them a product and subsequently asking if they would like to be situated on the mailing list. An alternative tactic is to simply assign the ad to another company’s emails so as to interest their user base.

When that has been determined the electronic mail and/or ad needs to be planned. The design depends on the objective, however the theory stays pretty similar. Once more, there has to be an interest grabber along with then a well drafted message. Furthering that however, employing email marketing there needs to be an appropriate assortment of links which are provided.

Employing specialized marketing applications, companies are then proficient to track exactly how many folks obtain their email message and how many people react to it in whichever manner. The tracking will be able to tell them facts like how many times an email was viewed, how many times a link was clicked on, and how often a sale was completed after the link was followed.

That information is extraordinarily helpful and receiving such precise figures is distinctive to the internet era. That defines the fact that email marketing is thus reasonably priced that much more attractive to everyone.

Helping Clients as a Creativity Coach

Filed under: Writing — John Galt @ 8:39 am
by Tom Binns

Support and accountability are two of the main services a creativity coach offers to his clients. Support feels like compassion and kindness. If a client has been struggling with out success then they will find it very difficult to support themselves and their self talk can be harsh and un-supportive.

A Creativity Coach is someone you can talk to about your work. You can speak with one about the problems of your fading dreams, about the gap between your dreams and reality. A creativity coach is there to say, “I think you can do it and I’m here to help you” A creativity coach can also offer more practical help and unlike a psychiatrist can get more involved in your (creative) life. Often Creativity Coaches have an area of expertise and may help with certain aspects of the creative profession that you are involved in.

Support can include many things including psychological existential and practical help. It should also be a state of mind and attitude on the part of the Creativity Coach. It could include offering practical help about the market place, help with anxiety or self talk and it could include wider existential issues.

One way a coach may offer practical support to Creative is by speaking with them about starting a new routine. For example writing in the morning before the emails are looked at.

Getting a client to embrace their anxiety is another way a Creativity Coach can be very supportive. Creative anxiety is not often talked about and it’s something that even the most experienced creative might not be aware of.

Finally other ways of offering support could be by getting your client to reflect and think more deeply. Getting to them to forgive themselves and Telling them that it is not too late or that they have got it in them

Silence and Peace Give Way To Love

Filed under: eBooks — James Scott @ 5:48 am

This day in age, people are turning to religion in droves. Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism has embedded it’s ideology in the hearts and minds of millions globally. While all these religions deserve respect and tolerance, few in the west have a grasp on the complicated concept of Buddhism.

The end all and be all of online encyclopedias, Wikipedia grabs the first slot on a Google search for the term Buddhism and the breakdown reads like this: “Buddhism is a religion and a philosophy encompassing a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices, largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as the Buddha (Pali/Sanskrit “the awakened one”). The Buddha lived and taught in the northeastern Indian subcontinent sometime between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE.

He is recognized by adherents as an awakened teacher who shared his insights to help sentient beings end suffering, achieve nirvana, and escape what is seen as a cycle of suffering and rebirth. Buddhism is traditionally conceived as a path of liberation attained through insight into the ultimate nature of reality. Two major branches of Buddhism are recognized: Theravada (”The School of the Elders”) and Mahayana (”The Great Vehicle”). Theravada, the oldest surviving branch, has a widespread following in Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia, and Mahayana is found throughout East Asia and includes the traditions of Pure Land, Zen, Nichiren Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Shingon, Tendai and Shinnyo-en. In some classifications, a third branch, Vajrayana, is recognized, although many see this as an offshoot of the Mahayana. While Buddhism remains most popular within Asia, both branches are now found throughout the world.

Various sources put the number of Buddhists in the world at between 230 million and 500 million.” After living abroad in Asia for several years I have found that Buddhist cultures are more tolerant because the focus is on the ’self’ and the meditation on the calming of the mind, concentrating on controlled breathing and the idea that meditation to bring one closer to peace is central to discovering one’s self.

If you have the opportunity to investigate the practice of Buddhism, I would highly recommend it. I’m not saying to take up the path and convert to a religion but the calming affect that is central to this religions concept will bring a peaceful serenity to your life that you may find useful. All in all respect and tolerance for all religious perspectives is something that people are beginning to make a conscious effort to practice and understanding ideas from various religions can teach us an appreciation that can bring us all closer together.

Strategic Alliances: How To Get The Power You Need Fast!

Filed under: eBooks — James Scott @ 8:43 am
by James Scott

Growing your company sales by adding promotional and sales agents and increasing your marketing exposure is an obvious way to beef up revenues but few companies consider the virtually instantaneous power of strategic alliances. Creating strategic partnerships with ‘would be’ rivals and companies that cater to your business genre can help you rapidly take possession of your market.

If you are a printer, team up with brochure designers, ink and paper distributors, advertising firms and print solution resellers. If you are a solar panel technology company then team up with corporations who have government grants for research and development and other alternative energy groups such as wind energy turbine technology firms, Department of Energy contractors etc. By teaming up with other companies and combining resources. You can stimulate growth in every area of your business. Look at each individual product and service you offer.

Now think of other companies who you can team up with to share resources. Make sure you create win/win opportunities for everyone involved as this is the only way to truly take advantage of this type of partnership. Don’t look at this concept as leaching off of other company’s resources, to the contrary, carefully researched and structured alliances will transform the here and now as well as future business of all parties involved. Strategic alliances will also enhance your appeal as an ‘invest-able’ business to venture capital firms and angel investors.

Think about it. You have a carefully constructed and managed corporate infrastructure. You’ve taken the steps to make sure that each of your ‘C’ level executives has been promoted as the ‘who’s who’ in the industry to speed up investor due diligence and increase customer confidence. You’ve carefully selected a board of directors that will effectively and actively guide you through the turbulent industry environment with their proven track record of success. And you’ve even initiated and solidified powerful partnerships that enhance your business concept and strengthen the longevity of your company.

You are now ready for expansion, investors, venture capital firms, taking your company public, attracting a professional CEO or CFO and practically anything your company is setting out to do.
