Keyword research is a discipline embraced and used in SEO management by experts to allow them to determine which search terms people are searching on in the search engines. At its simplest level, this research is about studying the phrases that work for your audience and it is a real art. It is one of the most effective ways to identify niche markets that others have failed to recognize. Keyword research is very important so that the content of the pages are more attractive as much for the users as for the robots. Keyword research is not an exact science and shouldn’t be discussed like it is.

I like to focus on finding long tailed keyword phrases that have a significant number of monthly searches for that exact term with 5,000 to 300,000 competing websites. Long tailed keywords, are multi-word keyword phrases. Most folks searching with a one or two keyword are just “browsing”. Most people who use long tail keywords know what they want. Remember, you want to focus each page on 2-3 keyword phrase.

There are many free keyword research tools online. Most SEO software tools include these tools as well. Google, Yahoo and other search engines have free tools also. You want a tool that will give you the number of daily or monthly searches and competing web pages. There are even sites like “spyFu.com” that will let you see which terms your competitors are using.

How many keywords you have in an article is known as keyword density. Your keyword density should be anywhere from 3% to 7%. For example, if you were to write a 100 word article you would need to write the keyword in 7 times to achieve a 7% keyword density. For a 500-word article you would need to use your keyword 15 times to get a 5% density. I use a tool called “Content Composer” that does a fantastic job of keeping me on track.

Keyword research can be defined as choosing the words, which describe your product or service as, seen from the viewpoint of your target market is the most important step in the SEO Management process.

How Internet Marketing Benefits your MLM Business

Filed under: Marketing Articles — Mark Hall @ 3:31 am
by Mark Hall

The thought of chasing people you know to join up is what tends to make people wary about joining an MLM. Having to talk unfamiliar people and trying to get them to join up is just as bad for many. An MLM stipulates that you list out everyone you know and they will have to be approached to join as well - this does not please most newcomers. Not everyone who knows you would like to join an MLM group as everyone is not a supporter of network marketing. So many people are wary about network marketing though they might just try the product.

It’s much more effective to talk to people who have already asked for information about a home business. After all, there are a lot of people who are making money with this and some even give you your own web site for free. These sites are useful to lead prospects to after they have already pre-qualified. So you can rein them in by using Squidoo lens, a blog, your very own website or by using a squeeze or opt in page in order to ensure your replicated web site is promoted.

Your blog or website introduces you to people online rather than your MLM, as most successful people know the importance of marketing themselves first prior to marketing their product or service The internet gives you access to people who could well become business partners and these are people you might never have met under normal circumstances. You will be able to mentor people from any part of the world through the internet while you enjoy the comfort of your own home.

MLM and network marketing are all about working closely together and even though it is on the internet it is still a relationship. Constant effort should be made to build and maintain good relations with the leads that you sourced and also all new people in your team. Skype is an excellent service that can be used to talk to and communicate with people all over the world for free; in addition, free instant messaging from Yahoo, MSN and others are available. Today’s technology provides inexpensive, instant, long distance communication, unthinkable a decade ago.

The internet has opened by low cost and in some cases free ways to build your own MLM. Even though it does take some time before you are really able to see any good results, it partly depends on all of the effort that is put into it; there is certainly no business that would build itself without help. It is also worth avoiding anything that claims or implies they will ‘build the business for you’. These marketing techniques attract those trying to get something for nothing and that is certainly not a successful path to follow. You need to be focused and you need to be determined to succeed if you want to make it big in this field.

How to finally succeed in making money online

Filed under: Marketing Articles — Tony Hetherington @ 4:09 pm
by Tony Hetherington

Forget the hype and the next greatest offer there is one and only one way to make money online and that is to follow a plan from start to finish. This takes dedication and commitment to not only take action but continuous action.

We all know what can happen if we don’t make a plan, we dither, delay and fail. As the mantra goes - people don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan” - and yet we seem to be destined to fail and give up, time after time. So what goes wrong?

We get distracted - We’re far too easily distracted. It’s hard to admit but it’s true. We buy a new ebook or course and think that this is our path to riches. Then a few days later our mailbox gets swamped with the next great offer and we succumb to it. The former path to glory now lies in ruins and will gather cyber dust with the others that we’ve bought and forgotten. Gurus and their affiliates are quite within their rights to offer you the next big thing - and they’d rather you’d buy that then focus. Look for someone committed to your future not your wallet.

We get information overload - then want more - Information overload is the insatiable hunger for more training and the latest product. We buy, we devour then we seem to forget all we’ve read and hunt for our next information meal.

It’s too easy to quit - When the going gets tough the tough give up according to those trying to make a living online. I think it’s a psychological problem that we don’t actually beleive that online success is possible and therefore take the slightest failure such as the lack of traffic after a single article as proof of this negative thought. If we were given not only a blueprint but also step-by-step instructions backed up by support that we could beleive in then our chances of success would be greatly improved.

We fail to follow up the plan with the necessary action - To get success online you need to have a plan and then take all the action necessary to fully implement it. That may seem obvious but if you aren’t prepared to invest the required time and effort you will inevitably fail again and again leaving you open to those quick fix scams.

Stop! It’s not your fault! Everything you’ve been told about affiliate marketing and making money online is wrong! It’s time to put the cons and scams behind you and take control of your online future.

It’s actually surprisingly simple to find a route map to success.

1. Choose a path or a product - I’m going to recommend a method below but if that doesn’t appeal then find something that does.

2. Read it and then read it again. Take lots of notes to ensure that nothing gets missed.

3. Break down the plan into a detailed task list - This approach means that nothing will be forgotten or missed out.

4. There are many different approaches you can now take. Either start at the top of the list, start with some easy tasks or tackle them in a mixture of the other two. The important thing is that you keep going and get those tasks crossed off.

5. Whenever you have a little time choose and do a task.

6. Keep on going until the list is complete.

7. Take the time out to celebrate the first sign up to an autoresponder and that first sale and other landmarks.

The Top Article Marketing Secrets, Tips and Techniques

Filed under: Article Marketing — Mike Spencer @ 8:22 am
by Mike Spencer

The greatest benefit of article marketing is that is an absolutely free method anyone can use to get free traffic to their site. This is an easy process of using the article, which has a back link at the bottom, to send people who have read it to a website that has more information. The best place to submit articles is site where you know they have a great deal of traffic every day; an increase in visitors to your site should happen quite quickly.

For the best response, a website or blog for example that is well visited each day is the best place to submit it; it shouldn’t be too long before your site starts to receive traffic from this. Acceptance of content at sites like this is a little like a ‘thumbs up’ to you as well and can be of great benefit; trust is probably more important on the Internet because most people are faceless.

If you perform this article marketing and submission process on a regular basis, people will begin to search for your material and trust your work. This is why it is so important to show people that you know what you are talking about so they trust the content you provide in the area you write about.

Although it can take a while, this traffic from people that trust you will help your own search engine ranking; this can help improve your organic visitors as your positioning on Google improves. The more websites that link to yours, the more traffic you will achieve; more importantly, none of this traffic actually costs anything at all!

Article marketing not only allows links in the body text of the article but in the resource box at the foot of the page. The purpose of good articles is for people to use them on their site, with each having the links to your site contained in them which all helps the ranking.

It is not unusual for Google and other search engines to take months before they start to list a website. Although you cannot rush the search engines directly, submitting more articles and using the authority sites will help enormously.

The content on your website is what brings the search engines and hence visitors so therefore part of your article marketing campaign should be to continually add fresh content to your website. Don’t forget that many visitors to your site are not visiting to buy something. The more truthful you are about what you are doing, the more visitors will appreciate it providing the information you supply is relevant to their search.

Once on your site it is not a complicated matter to show your visitors what it is you are selling. Doing it this way ensures the visitor is not mislead and is happy to be shown what you are selling. The last thing you want after making the sale is to return the money so by doing carrying out this process you lessen your chance of it happening.

If you want visitors to your websites then you must continue your article marketing this way; this process must be repeated on a regular basis for it to work. An additional benefit from writing quality articles is that other website owners will either link to your site or use your articles on their own site; having your articles on numerous sites just improves the exposure of your site. There are no charges to article marketing and is still the number one way to get traffic to your site; with relevant, quality unique articles, visitors will keep returning.

Internet Business - Are You Building A Business Or A Money Maker?

Filed under: Marketing Articles — Robert Billings @ 8:37 am
by John Lenaghan

What got you started in internet marketing? Were you trying to make a few extra bucks every month? Or were you trying to get out of a job you hated and work for yourself full time like I was?

How’s it working out for you? If you’re like most people in this market, you haven’t reached your goals. You might not even be making enough to cover your costs every month.

If that’s the case, there’s something you need to think about…

Do you see this as a money-maker or as a business?

It might not seem like there’s much difference but there’s a subtle, but important one.

You see, a money-maker is something that can make you some money. It might even make you a lot of money. But there’s no security in it. It could all come falling down around you if something changes one day.

Just ask all the people who went from making thousands of dollars in Adsense every month to making nothing when Google clamped down on all the spammy autogenerated “portal” websites.

A business, on the other hand, can be a money maker but it’s built with a solid foundation. There is more to it than some trick for getting your site ranked well for a while.

You provide useful information, products or services to your customers. You would actually be proud to be associated with what you offer, instead of hiding your identity because you don’t want anyone to know all those crappy websites are yours.

Your business is an asset. If you wanted to, you could sell it because you can show that it has value. Just what that value is depends on how much time and effort you put into making it successful.

Quit chasing the dream and going from one new technique to another. Start building a business. Focus on something of value and work like heck at it until it’s either successful or you know you’ve done everything you can to make it so.

If you did everything you could and it still didn’t work, don’t despair. Learn from your efforts and move on to another strategy until you find the one that works.

Believe me, you’ll make a lot more money in the long run with a successful business than you will with a successful money-maker.

Express Yourself Through Blogging

by Russell M. Stewart

Blogs have become immensely popular among today’s web savvy community. They are used to bring news, stories, discussions, reviews and much more to a large audience around the globe. Another great way to use blogs is to express yourself openly through them. Having a special ‘let it out’ blog can help you express your opinions without really discriminating or harming anyone.

It may seem like you are biased and opinionated to others, but that’s part of everything you’ll enjoy about blogging. It doesn’t matter what you have to get off your chest, you can simply say it out and you’ll be surprised how several people from around the globe will agree with you.

Some bloggers make their points through hilarity, while others can be bordering on the offensive to some, because they are brutally honest. Nevertheless, blogging is a great way for everyone to express themselves.

Comparatively, there are blogs which talk about daily incidents in a ‘reader-friendly’ tone, which visitors can participate in, pitch in with their opinions and generally make the blog lively and interesting.

Making a blog interesting takes effort and if your blog is focusing on hard news, you might have a hard time presenting updated content continuously. The more you update a blog, the more interesting it is. Because of these reasons, the idea behind a blog specifically created to express yourself is more appealing to the worldwide community.

In the world outside of the internet, most social conversations rally around who did what, went where and how it effected someone else etc. That same discussions make interesting topics on the web too. So, a blog to show everyone your displeasure at world politics or the noise from your neigbour’s backyard can be your ranting and raving outlet for peace of mind.

You don’t even have to own a personal blog to do all this. Just signing up with an existing blog and becoming a guest blogger will let you post your views whenever you want. If you don’t want to become a blogger yourself, you can simply get involved in sharing opinions and ideas through comments. It’ll be an enjoyable and freeing experience.

Personal interest blogs are making their mark in the vast web world and don’t miss out on the opportunity to get a dose of satisfaction by joining in on the fun.
