Internet article marketing is a type of advertising which businesses use to advertise by writing short articles which are related to their industry.

Internet article marketing works! Have you ever wondered why there have been alot of article directories cropping up on the internet for the last year or so? Article marketing works very well at getting lots of traffic to your website without costing you any hard earned money spent on advertising services.

If your niche is very competitive, your costs can begin to add up fast. Sometimes you’ll tally up your finances and find that you have a negative ROI. This is easily avoided by using internet article marketing.

By using article marketing, you can become a known expert in your particular niche(s).

When you employ internet article marketing, you’ll soon have lots of quality back-links to your website.

How Do I Go About Using Internet Article Marketing?

You know, the web is made of lots of websites. These sites contain tons of content. People usually search for this content with a particular subject in mind. This information is found easily by a search engine. What a search engine does is go out and follow from link to link on the internet. The search engine collect this information and digests it and catalog and index it using the information and the keywords found on each page.

The search engines give you the best information that they have about the subject you are interested in. They do this by carefully cataloging and arranging the information that they found when they were crawling the web. This information has to be accurate, and be closely related to the term that you searched on. If they are written well, articles are considered a very valuable information source from which to learn.

If a website is to keep it’s visitors returning on a regular basis, the webmaster must provide their visitors with interesting, timely, and accurate information. These factors are vitally important for someone who maintains a website or blog on a daily basis. If the webmaster wants to climb high and remain there in the search results for his particular niche, he has to post new information to his site every day.

As I’m sure you are aware, you need to post everyday to your website, and this can gobble up alot of your valuable time. As a webmaster, you can supplement the content on your site with quality, well-written articles authored by other people. The only requirement is that you leave the author’s resource box intact including keeping the links live if that is how they were when you retrieved the article from the article directory.

Tell Me What An Article Directory Is

Article directories are websites that have alot of articles stored in one large database. The articles are arranged by their different topics. Authors are encouraged to submit their articles there. Bloggers and other webmasters (a.k.a. Publishers) can find free articles to post on their own website so long as credit to the original author is kept intact. Article directories have volumes and volumes of information on just about any subject that you might be able to think of, probably some that you haven’t even thought of.

You’ll find specialized article directories which only accept articles whose subject is about certain niches such as computer technology, or skin care. You just need to read the submission rules and each directory to see what is permissible and what is not. Most topics are allowed as long as they don’t promote hate speech or advocate violence.

How Do I Benefit In Return For Submitting My Articles To The Article Directories?

At the end of each article there is a place where the author can place his or her ‘resource box’. This resource box contains a short blurb of one or two sentences about the author as well as a sentence or two with a link embedded pointing them to the blog, or website of the author for more information regarding the subject that the article was written about.

When you submit your articles to an article directory, you’ll gain many benefits. Not only will you get free marketing from it, you’ll also get lots of exposure.

Research is Important

Just like any aspect of marketing, internet article marketing is not any different. You need to research the topics of your articles. You can do this by looking at and reading blogs and visiting forums which are relevant to the subject that you are writing about. Often a good place to start is to see what people are “talking about”. Now that you have a topic, or probably several topics to write about, you should be able to write an article between 300-700 words without too much trouble.

I’ve Written My Article, Now What?

First thing to do is to post your article on your website or blog. Wait a couple of weeks to a month until your article has been indexed in the search engines. You’ll be able to tell by searching for your article title in quotation marks. After you find it, it’s alright to submit it to the article directories. This is the way to do it in order to minimize chances of any duplicate content penalties.

Wait a month? Are you Serious?

There is a new method of writing unique versions and submitting them to your articles directories and your own website. It’s possible to easily submit this article to over 700 websites as well. This serves two purposes- first, you aren’t trashing the article directories with more duplicant content, they get enough of that everyday. All you have to do is pick a few articles from one of the top directories, and search for them and then read the links you find and you’ll see how almost completely, if not ‘comepletely’ the articles are word for word the same as on other sites.
